Prep Your Phone for Trade-In

Learn about getting your phone ready for our trade-in process.

Trading in your iPhone

Step 1: Activate your new phone

1. Visit boostinfinite.com/activate to get started.
2. Activate your new phone
   1. For more details, check out our activation guide here.
3. Back up your personal data
   1. From your iPhone, open Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → iCloud Backup.
   2. Tap Back Up Now to start the backup process.

Step 2. Factory reset your trade-in phone

1. Turn off Find My iPhone
   1. From your iPhone, open Settings → [Your Name] → Find My.
   2. Tap & turn off Find My.
2. Factory reset your phone
   1. From your iPhone, open Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone.
   2. Tap Erase All Content and Settings.
      1. Tap Erase All Content and Settings.
      2. Enter your passcode if prompted.
      3. Tap Erase iPhone to confirm.

Step 3: Ship your trade-in phone

1. Prepare for shipment
2. Safely pack your trade-in phone inside a suitable box and use the shipping label that we provide you.
3. Utilize the shipping label and tracking number we provide you to ship your trade-in phone through USPS. You can use this USPS store locator to find the nearest location to you.

NOTE

We must receive your trade-in shipment within 30 days for you to receive your offer. Trade-ins are typically evaluated in 3-5 business days after being received. You will receive a trade-in confirmation after this process is complete. Completion of the steps listed above is necessary to qualify for a Phone Discount credit.

Trading in your Android Phone

Step 1. Activate your new phone.

1. Visit boostinfinite.com/activate or download the Boost Infinite app to get started.
2. Activate your new phone
   1. For more details, check out our activation guide.
3. Back up your personal data and remove your memory card, if you have one
   1. Open the Google One app on your phone.
   2. Tap on Storage at the bottom of the screen.
   3. Scroll down to the Device Backup section.
      1. If this is your first phone backup, tap Set Up Data Backup.
      2. If this isn't your first phone backup, tap View Details (skip to Step 4.).
   4. To see your backup settings, tap Manage Backup
      1. To back up the data on your phone, turn on Device Data.
      2. To back up your media in the best quality, turn on Full Resolution Photos & Videos.
      3. To back up your MMS texts, turn on Multimedia Messages.
   5. Tap Backup Now

Step 2. Factory reset your trade-in phone.

1. Open the Settings → System → Reset Options.
2. Tap on Erase All Data (factory reset).
3. Enter your phone's security PIN, pattern or password.
4. Confirm that you want to erase all data by tapping on Erase All Data again.

Step 3. Ship your trade-in phone.

1. Prepare your phone for shipment.
2. Safely pack your trade-in phone inside a suitable box.
